Data and analytic solutions enable state and local government agencies to help consumers and better serve their communities for the future

The U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance has awarded a multi-year contract to Experian® to provide consumer data and predictive analytics solutions through its leading national state and local cooperative purchasing program.  Experian was awarded the contract based on demonstrated success delivering operational solutions in government, education and not for profit organizations, as determined by a competitive solicitation and thorough evaluation conducted by Fairfax County, VA., the lead public agency.

The exclusive contract gives more than 90,000 public sector entities, such as state agencies, local governments, publicly owned utilities, collection agencies that service public debt and nonprofit public schools and higher education institutions, access to Experian's up-to-date consumer data and analytical information solutions, deep expertise and hands-on experience with child support enforcement, collections, contractor responsibility, data breach, data cleansing, eligibility, online authentication and identity management, and tax return fraud.

"We are committed to a building a partnership with U.S. Communities to help them build on their success," said Sandra Anderson, Experian senior vice president of strategy. "Participating in this program furthers our ability to provide innovative solutions to help public sector organizations protect consumers and improve their operations by creating additional value within their communities and economy."

Experian has long helped public sector leaders protect consumer identities, analyze operations, seize opportunities and effect functional change to impact reputation, service delivery and budget management in various economic climates. Experian's strengths in fraud and identity management, operations, compliance and turnaround accelerate its ability to help various public sector entities and institutions succeed in complex, time-sensitive, and highly-regulated environments.

"Experian was selected as a part of this solicitation based on its proposal, offering a great value for public agencies to solve complex challenges," said Cathy Muse, director for the Department of Purchasing and Supply Management for Fairfax County, VA.
