Farber Specialty Vehicles Awarded Contract with U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance

Farber Specialty Vehicles has been awarded U.S. Communities’ contract for Specialty Vehicles, Equipment and Accessories and any Related Equipment, Supplies and Services.

Columbus, Ohio, June 1, 2016Farber Specialty Vehicles Incorporated (FSV) today announced that it has been awarded the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance “Specialty Vehicles” contract. The FSV contract was awarded after the lead public agency, The Port of Portland, Oregon completed a competitive solicitation and thorough evaluation process for specialty vehicles. This is the first time that U.S. Communities has provided a competitively solicited contract for specialty vehicles. The contract term is for three years, with two one-year renewal options.

AutoCad and SolidWorks computer aided design software is used to design interiors as well as body shells. The FSV plant has the most up to date CNC, machine press, and HVAC equipment in the industry. FSV custom manufactures on many different platforms including Freightliner, International, Ford, Prevost and Sprinter. A broad scope of work includes emergency management, medical, laboratories and educational vehicles.

FSV is currently managed by Ken (President) and Nick (Director of Operations) as well as a fourth generation of family members and many dedicated employees with 10-35 years of experience with the company. More so today than ever, FSV remains committed to the spirit of innovation by which the company was founded, and continues to be a leader in specialty vehicle manufacturing.
