TCACS

Trane Catalytic Air Cleaning System (TCACS)

The Trane Catalytic Air Cleaning System can be retrofitted to your existing system and is a cost effective way to improve indoor air quality in places such as departments with immunocompromised patients, waiting areas and locations that suffer from engine exhaust fumes in your healthcare facility.

How it works

TCACS seamlesslessly integrates three technologies to effetively improve building IAQ

  • MERV 13 rated filters remove majority of 0.3 micron ultrafine particles and larger
  • Ulltraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) is used to damage or kill various organisms on surfaces and in the airstream
  • Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and small biologicals
Key benefits include

  • Significant reduction of microbiological elements (viruses, bacteria and fungi/mold)
  • Reduction of organic odors caused by VOCs like engine exhaust fumes
  • Highly efficient particle removal
  • Minimal maintenance and longer lifecycle than other air cleaning technologies
  • Available in a variety of configurations

    • Easily retrofit into existing air handling systems
    • Factory engineered and installed in new Trane air handling units
    • Curb-mounted for use with existing and new rooftop packaged systems
    • Portable and duct-mounted versions

Emergency Preparedness

When disaster strikes, what it will take to get your facility back up and running?

From natural disasters to everyday mechanical failures, all facilities face some level of risk due to power, HVAC or compressed air failure. While an emergency might just mean a minor discomfort due to lack of temperature control, it also could result in the loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars because of lost productivity.

The importance of preparing for the unexpected can't be overemphasized. That's why Trane developed a Contingency Planning Process. The process will walk you through the steps of determining your financial risks and controlling your indoor environment to protect your most valuable assets. It will also help you gain peace of mind knowing that your facility can withstand any HVAC emergency and be back up and running quickly. An effective contingency plan can:

  • Shorten the time needed to acquire, install and start up temporary power, HVAC or compressed air systems.
  • Ensure all parties involved in dealing with the outage are aware of their roles and trained in the processes and actions needed to work through the problem.
  • Lower the total cost of the temporary solutions.
  • Reduce startup delays caused by oversights or problems resulting from improvised designs.
  • Improve facility operations by identifying and reducing weaknesses in the system.

Energy Management

Even a small energy project can have a huge impact

Energy can be the single-largest operating expense in a typical commercial building, costing American businesses more than $24 billion each year. If your systems are operating less than optimally, you may be spending more than necessary. But you don't have to implement an extensive energy project to have a large impact. Replacing older lighting or HVAC systems can have a significant impact on energy use and savings.

Trane Intelligent Services can help you uncover opportunities, of any size, to optimize your building systems and transform your facility into an asset that positively impacts your business.

  • Trane Energy Assessment identifies how a building uses energy, providing a baseline of performance that shows the potential for improvement and progress to date. Trane building professionals utilize advanced tools to visualize and measure your building's energy profile to transform data into meaningful information.
  • Trane Building Performance analyzes data and equipment behavior in the context of the overall system to see what's happening in your building, unleashing the power of building data to uncover hidden information.
  • Trane Energy Performance, a cloud-based building energy management system (BEMS) service, can help you discover energy waste in every corner of your building and provides analysis to help you take advantage of those hidden savings opportunities.

With industry-leading expertise, innovative equipment, and cutting-edge technology, Trane can help you implement projects, large and small, that can have huge impact on your bottom line.
